Intro. Hello Audience! Welcome to RTGF TV program. This is Episode 8 of the ROOT Series – The title is: Know the truth and enter by the door before He is shut (Rev 3:7-8). Our title today is: God explained Grace. Scripture is the ultimate source of what is truth. Once misinterpreted, it will sow the seed of fallen away from Jesus. As it is written the fallen away will happen first before the coming of Christ and the gathering together to Him (2Thes. 2:1-3). So, to teach and preach man’s opinion of scripture distant people from the kingdom of God. It is why judgment must begin at the house of God (1Pet. 4:17).

Topic. Explanation of Grace by God.
Objective: To know what Grace truly is.
HOW GOD EXPLAINED GRACE.
BY THE DEATH OF MAN IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN,
HE REJECTED EVERYTHING FREE FROM GOD (GEN. 3:6-8).
SINCE THEN EVERY GIFT HAS BEEN UNMERITTED & UNEARNED.
GRACE & TRUTH CAME THROUGH JESUS CHRIST (JOHN 1:17). IT SHOWS GRACE & TRUTH ARE EXCLUSIVE GIFTS.
SO, WHAT IS GRACE?
BEFORE ADVENT OF JESUS MAN WORSHIPED GOD AT THE TEMPLE.
THE VEIL OF THE TEMPLE SYMBOLIZED TOTAL SEPARATION OF SINFUL MAN FROM GOD (Ex 26:31-35).
WHEN JESUS DIED THE VEIL TORN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM (MT.27:51).
IT SIGNALED REMOVAL OF SIN BARRIER BETWEEN MAN & GOD.
THEN GOD WHO COMMANDED LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS SHOWN IN OUR HEARTS TO GIVE THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS (2COR. 4:6).
* SO, THE SPIRIT OF GOD GAVE GIFTS TO MAN (1COR. 12:4).
ALSO, IN A SITUATION WHERE ENEMIES BLASPHEME GOD, THE SPIRIT OF GLORY & OF GOD COULD REST UPON ANY MAN WHO IS REPROACHED FOR THE SAKE OF JESUS’ NAME (1PET. 4:14).
ON THE PART OF THE VICTIM GOD IS GLORIFIED.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
GOD EXPLAINED IT BY REASSURING PAUL THUS:
MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU (2COR. 12:9).
IT IMPLIED THAT THE “REST OF THE SPIRIT OF GLORY & OF GOD” ON BUFFETED PAUL PRODUCED “GRACE” TO HELP HIM ENDURE.
NOW JESUS IS GOD (JOHN 1:1) &
HE IS ALSO THE GLORY OF GOD (HEB. 1:3).
**THUS, THE SPIRIT OF GLORY & OF GOD IS THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST.
SO, GRACE COMES FROM GOD TO CHRIST WHO MEDIATES FOR MAN & HE IS SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH FOR THE SAKE OF HIS NAME.
SO, GRACE IS INTERCESSION OF CHRIST FOR THE SAINTS (ROM. 8:34).
IT INSPIRES MAN TO TRUST IN JESUS & WALK LIKE HIM (1JOHN 2:6).
Note:
*It is the Spirit of God who gave gifts to man – these
are the gifts in the category of favor.
**But it is the Spirit of Jesus Christ who gave the Grace.
- As every gift is undeserved, it is wrong to single out
and label grace as unmerited. What of other gifts too?
- Fear & believe the word of God according to scripture & not of man who described grace as unmerited favor.
Situations for grace:
1a. When God forgave & forgot the sins man
committed in the past (Rom. 3:25).
1b. When God saved man from eternal condemnation
(Eph. 2:8-9).
- When man has exhausted his powers – like in the
case of the woman with issue of blood (Lk. 8:43-48).
- When situation overwhelms man (2Cor. 12:9).
- During dire situations – accident, sudden attack,
Demo of power of God over evil (Dan. 3:16), & etc.
- When God repent from destroying life from the
surface of the earth because of man’s wickedness –
like in the case of Noah (Gen. 6:5-8).
- In every setting that might give glory to God, like
Daniel in the lion’s den (Dan. 6:16).
We were saved by grace through faith, not by works (Eph. 2:8-9).
Wrong interpretation of grace leads to wrong understanding of salvation.
