* SETTING: GOD CREATED MAN UPRIGHT TO LIVE FOREVER.
* MAN’S FALL: SERPENT DECEIVED HIM TO SIN (GEN. 3:4-8).
* THE SIN SEPARATED MAN AS DARKNESS TOTALLY FROM GOD (IS. 59:2). SO, GOD’S GIFTS ARE UNMERITED FAVOR.
* GOD GIVE GRACE. BUT HE & MAN GIVE FAVOR (LK. 2:52). {LIFE OF MERCY & TRUTH LURE GOD’S FAVOR (PROV. 3:4)}.
* GOD’S MERCY: SHED BLOOD OF JESUS ON THE CROSS SET RED DOOR TO NEW WAY THRU HIS FLESH IN OUR HEARTS (JOHN 10:9), LIKE SCARLET SIGN OF RAHAB TO SAVE HER.
SO, SPIRIT OF THE LORD LIFTED A STANDARD AGAINST THE SERPENT, THE DEVIL, CALLED SATAN (IS. 59:19, & REV. 12:9,15). *THEN, GOD INTERVENED (2COR. 4:5-6). *AS A RESULT, GOD FORGAVE MAN (AS ONE) HIS PAST SINS (ROM. 3:25).
* TEMPLE VEIL TORE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM (MT. 27:51).
* RESTORATION OF MAN: * STAGE ONE: LORD AROSE OVER US (MANKIND). THE GLORY OF THE LORD SEEN UPON US AS ONE BODY (IS. 60:1). SO, LIKE ADAM SINGLY STOOD AS MANKIND, “MAN OF TRUTH” AS ONE BODY WAS BY GRACE FULLY RESTORED THRU COMMON SALVATION (JUDE 3).
* STAGE 2: PERSONAL SALVATION BY GRACE THRU FAITH. THE SAME GLORY OF THE LORD AROSE OVER MAN IN DEEP DARKNESS ON EARTH & SEEN UPON MAN (IS. 60:2).
* THEN HOLY SPIRIT GAVE GIFTS TO MAN (1COR. 12:3-11).
GRACE AS SPECIAL GIFT.
*BESIDES HOLY SPIRIT’S GIFTS IS GIFT BY SPIRIT OF GLORY.
* WHEN MAN BLESSED IS REPROAHED FOR SAKE OF JESUS’ NAME, SPIRIT OF GLORY & GOD RESTS ON HIM (1PET. 4:14).
*THE INTERVENTION MAKES MAN HAVE STEADY FAITH IN GOD.
*GOD SHOWN CAUSE IS HIS GRACE – REFUGE/FORTE 2COR. 12:9.
* WHAT IS SPIRIT OF GLORY & OF GOD. * CHRIST IS GOD (JOHN 1:1) & IS BRIGHTNESS OF GLORY OF GOD (HEB. 1:3).
* SO, ‘SPIRIT OF GLORY & OF GOD’ IS ‘SPIRIT OF CHRIST’. IT MEANS ‘GRACE’ IS FRUIT OF SPIRIT OF CHRIST THE LORD. IT IS NOT A GIFT POSSESSED.
* SO, WHAT IS ‘GRACE’?
*LET’S LOOK AT HOW CHRIST MEDIATE FOR MAN (1PET. 2:4-5).
* GRACE IS FROM GOD AS BLESSING THRU CHRIST TO MAN.
* SO, GRACE IS CHRIST’S INTERCESSION (ROM. 8:34). WOW!
* POWER WHICH LEFT JESUS INSTANTLY THE WOMAN WITH ISSUE OF BLOOD WAS HEALED SHOWN HIM AS MEDIATOR.
* IT’S BY GRACE HUMANITY WAS BORN-AGAIN IN CHRIST.
* A BELIEVER WAS SAVED. HE IS BEING SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH (1COR. 1:18). HE SHALL BE SAVED BY GRACE THRU FAITH (1PET. 1:9). * IT IS BY GRACE THRU HEARING OF FAITH & NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, WE ABIDE IN CHRIST & RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, OBEY THE TRUTH, & BE MADE PERFECT, AND NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE FLESH (GAL. 3:1-3).
*SO, WALK IN SPIRIT IS TO PERSONIFY TRUTH & ABIDE IN CHRIST.
Welcome to RTGF. Am Dr Danson Ubebe, Bible Teacher & Author. This is Episode 19 of our teaching series. We require the knowledge of truth to truly worship God. Daily observations
show some messages lack biblical root and could not be the truth. Such messages suggest deception by self-righteous men.
Today, we will show how and why grace came through Jesus.
Our Topic: Proof that ‘grace is intercession by Christ’.
Aim: To show grace is not a gift of the Holy Spirit, but of Spirit
of Christ the Lord.
Text: Till now, men have different understanding of grace. If we believe and have faith in the same God, should it be so? Are you serving the God of confusion? Wrong interpretation of grace leads to wrong knowledge. It is the reason some say grace is the person of Christ Jesus, some say it accommodates misconduct, majority say it is unmerited favor, some say it is the goodness of God extended to His people, others say it is like a lifting jack, still some others say it is a factory producing stuff for faith to collect, etc. The different voices are indications of unrighteous deception of those God has sent strong delusion to believe the lie for refusing to receive the love of the truth (2Thes. 2:11). Happy listening and viewing.
This is something new in the knowledge of scripture.
At the end of today, you would know or be reminded of:
1. Both grace and favor are unmerited. So, it is wrong to single out grace and say it is unmerited favor. ***
2. The narrow gate to an everlasting life which only a few will find (Mt. 7:13-14) is hung by the shed blood of Jesus in our hearts as the new Way through His flesh to God (John 10:9). ***
3. Grace is the intercession of Christ for the Saints. ***** It is of the sanctuary and strength of God (Ps. 46:1). ***
4. What it means to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16) – a simple statement. Scripture is written in the form of common sense for man’s understanding. It is not for robot. So, it is necessary to test what you hear or read by confirming it with scriptures. Continue from the screen. … deceived him to sin. How?
Pg. 1. 3rd * The woman and the serpent dialogue (Gen. 3:4-8). In reply to the woman’s answer to its inquiry “Then the serpent said to the woman, You, will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” “When the woman saw that it was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree
desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate.
She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. The eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves
coverings. And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the
trees of the garden.”
{Comment. 1. Sin by Adam is the origin of the three prongs temptation of lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life.
2. It is the origin of iniquity and transgressions (Ps. 51:5).
3. It is the origin of sin nature.
4. It caused the glory of God to recede and left man naked. So, man is born short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23).
5. It is the origin of hiding from God.
6. It closed man’s spiritual eyes and open the physical eyes. Etc.
7. It shows things of this earth are rubbish, like Paul observed (Phil. 3:8)}. The adverse consequences are that … Continue from the screen.
Pg. 1. 7 th *. God created a new man of truth or Christ (2Cor. 4:5-6). “For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus sake.
For it is the God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness who has shown in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
{Comment. 1. We do not preach ourselves because we are not totally of the truth. The light God shone in our hearts revived us from darkness (Eph. 5:8) to light to hear the voice of Jesus.
2. It offered our hearts to message of Jesus to flow through as middlemen to others. 3. Going forward, it brought about the reunion of men and God (Gal. 3:28) … continue screen
Pg. 1. 8 th * Forgiveness of sins of mankind (Rom. 3:23-26). “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously
committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
{Comment. 1. The forgiveness presupposes every believer will be of truth and cease to sin forthwith – lie, steal, discriminate.
2. But offences must come (Lk. 17:1). So, God offered repentance if you sin (1John 1:9).
3. It created the new man of truth without sin, for him to walk in the Spirit and not according to the flesh (Gal. 5:17).
4. The necessary revival of the new nature is done on earth until matured to the full stature of the knowledge of Christ (Eph. 4:12-13).
5. Lastly, the substance of full maturity of the new man is completed by Jesus who gives the glorious body (Phil. 3:21) to 7 be the righteousness of God (2Cor. 5:21) and be made the perfect born-again into the kingdom of heaven. To arouse knowledge of the reunion, …
Pg. 2. 15 th *. Provision of sanctuary and strength for the sake of Jesus’ name (1Pet. 4:14). “If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, put on your part He is glorified.”
{Comment. 1. But the natural man does not receive things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them, because they are spiritually separated (1Cor. 1:14).
2. So, there is a puzzle of blind spot between the spirit and the natural man. As a result, the natural man is unaware of what is happening in the spirit realm. Yet, unexplainably the
unknown intervention …
Page 2. 16 th *. So, God Himself revealed what it means for the Spirit of glory and of God to rest on man blessed for Jesus’ sake. (2Cor. 9:12). Then He told Paul “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2Cor. 9:12). It shown grace is God’s refuge and strength (Ps. 46:1) He gives it to man for the sake of Jesus’ name. So, we are to rather boast in our infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon us to keep steady faith in God, regardless of activities around.
1. With grace now revealed, the blind spot is where man with faith through Christ (Rom. 5:1-2) obtain mercy of God to have access to the throne of grace and find grace to help (through hearing the voice of God) in *the time of need (Heb. 4:16).
2. So, man will be wrong to interpret grace differently according to private understanding. 3. How does the forgoing concern Jesus? … Continue from the screen.
Pg. 2. 21 ST *. How Christ mediates for man: When we live as living sacrifice (Rom. 12:1), our offering of sacrifices of the lips to God (Heb. 13:15) are presented by Christ Jesus. Then He
pleads the case of man to Him. God respond with grace through Christ to man. It was how grace came through Jesus (John 1:17). So, you, “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected
indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1Pet. 2:4-5).
{Comment. 1. Christ first suffered for us all that we might live life of the spirit.
2. So, God has given Him authority to condemn, and to make intercession for us (Rom. 8:34).
3. So, the cross of Jesus and Him crucified (1Cor. 2:2) and the gospel (Gal. 6:14) is the only right message that is for salvation, Sanctification, or holiness, or to live life of the spirit in the flesh.
This means … Continue from the screen.
Conclusion.
